Sabatina Leccia and Alix Waline at Gilles & Boissier
From the 1st June until the 6th August
On the occasion of the temporary exhibition “Vanille-Fraise” at the Gilles & Boissier showroom, we have selected the 4-handed work of Sabatina Leccia and Alix Waline.
Sabatina Leccia comes from experimental embroidery, Alix Waline from drawing. In 2015, they initiated a collaboration based on the resonance of their respective universes.
Their approach is based on experimentation, attention to materials and the use of touch. The realization of the drawings is done instinctively. They let themselves be guided by the action of the other and thus create abstract and moving shapes. The accumulation of embroidery stitches and the superposition of clouds of stitches give the designs relief and depth.
The pieces of art below are visible at the Gilles & Boissier Showroom at 2 avenue Montaigne, Paris 8th. Do not hesitate to come and see them in real !
